Owners, Ted and Susan Rieseberg, moved to Candle Lake from Strathmore, AB in 2010 and are thoroughly enjoying all that the area has to offer. Candle Lake is truly one of the most spectacular lakes in Western Canada, offering 4 season enjoyment with fishing, hunting, hiking, boating, snowmobiling, birdwatching and much much more. We enjoy the opportunity to meet and get to know many of the wonderful people in the community. Candle Lake is – without a doubt – one of the best places to live in Canada.
We are conveniently located for residents of northern lakes like Whiteswan, Piprell, East Trout, Little Bear and Whelan and the neighbouring communities of Meath Park, Paddockwood, Weirdale, Smeaton, Albertville, Emma Lake, Christopher Lake, Waskeseiu and Montreal Lake. Cabin owners from points across Canada and the US gather winter and summer to enjoy the beauty and serenity of our wonderful location. The bulk of our summer visitors come from Prince Albert, Saskatoon, Regina, Edmonton, Fort MacMurray, Nipawin, Melfort, Thompson, Flin Flon, and Moose Jaw. We enjoy meeting people from all points of the map. Every community has its own footprint and a resort village is unique in many ways. Some families have lived here permanently for generations, while others have owned summer cabins and are now building permanent homes. Candle Lake has been a senior’s haven for decades and that population is “booming” as people like us return “home.” Candle Lake is also a popular destination for young families hoping to escape the hustle and bustle of bigger center points in Saskatchewan and Alberta.
